My name is Chelsie and I’m starting this fundraiser for my cousin Erin.

Erin is a single mother to 9 year old Brayden. It was Monday when Brayden found his mother in a horrible state. He first noticed something strange about her breathing and “funny noises” as she slept. When he tried to wake her she was unresponsive, felt extremely hot and drenched in sweat. He knew she needed help. He alerted his grandparents and proceeded to call for an ambulance. His quick thinking and bravery saved her life. Erin was having a seizure.

Once stabilized at the hospital, the medical staff began diagnostics. They found she has a meningioma, a tumor, on her frontal lobe.

Erin has spent the last few days hospitalized while they continued to diagnose the criticalness and best avenues to approach her treatment. The mass is 3 cm. (about the size of a banana slice or a large grape). Our family was devastated with the shock and uncertainty of the news, but we finally received some positive news; the tumor is benign! Although Erin is only at the start of her long road to recovery, her attitude is nothing more than amazing!

Erin will need brain surgery to remove the mass. In weeks leading up to her operation, she must take anti-seizure medication and steroids for the inflammation of her brain.

My family and I are asking you to make a donation to help in paying for medical bills. We’d like Erin to focus solely on staying strong for herself and her son. Her journey ahead will be stressful enough without the burden of medical debt.

Anyone that knows Erin knows all too well the optimism and fun she adds to any occasion. She is the most giving person and wonderful, dedicated mother! Please keep Erin and our family in your thoughts! We’re all very optimistic and grateful!
