Support for a dedicated taxi driver after tragic accident

Dear Friends, Family, and Fellow taxi drivers,

Support for a dedicated Huntingdon taxi driver.

We are reaching out to you in a time of urgent need. Our beloved dad/grandad Ricky, a dedicated huntingdon taxi driver for over 20 years, was involved in a horrific accident this morning(Friday 2nd August 2024). While parked in a layby, waiting for his next booking, a reckless driver, speeding out of control, left the road and collided with the back of his vehicle, pushing him some 20 meters up the road.

The impact was devastating. Emergency services had to cut our dad from the wreckage, and he is currently in the hospital undergoing surgery for a broken spine. Doctors have informed us that he has a mere 1% chance of walking again.

This tragic event has turned our world upside down. Our dad is the heart and soul of our family, always putting others before himself. Now, he faces a long and uncertain road to recovery.

We are seeking to raise £3,000 to help cover his immediate financial commitments, allowing him to focus solely on his recovery in the coming weeks, months, and possibly years. These funds will be used for:

Covering essential living expenses while he is unable to work

and any additional support he might need during his recovery
