Support Grieving Fiancé & Son After Tragic Accident .

My fiancé was in a tragic car accident on November 15th. He was on his way to work when he slid off the mountain on Angeles Forest Highway. He fell from the vehicle 100 feet and sustained severe brain injuries. He wasn’t found until at least 45 minutes later, down the mountain, by a guardian angel on his motorcycle who tried his best to find him.

He had been in a coma up until yesterday, November 27th. There was nothing more they could do to be optimistic that he would pull through and recover. We thought the small reflexes he still had meant he was making even a little bit of progress, but overnight on 11/26/24, he had a stroke, which worsened his already critical condition. He is now at peace. He passed last night with me and his mother by his side.

Legend and I have been together for 7 years. We have a 5-year-old child, and we were planning to expand our family, but this entire ordeal caused me to miscarry. This has been the hardest thing in my life I’ve ever gone through; it feels unreal. I’ve been a SAHM (stay-at-home mom) for 6 years. He was the most amazing spirit and an amazing provider. I feel lost without him. I have to raise my son without his father, with no help, just all so suddenly. It’s always just been us three. We’ve gone through a lot to get to a better point in life. We’ve slept in cars together, bounced around from place to place with our baby, but we finally made it out of that. I can’t believe he is gone. He doesn’t deserve this; he didn’t deserve this. He was the best father in the world! The best provider! From day one, he never left my side, never left our side. Our son was his little best friend, and this pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I had been back and forth from the hospital for those 9 days, 60 miles a day to and from. I honestly don’t know what to do. I’ve been afraid to ask for help to stay afloat during this grieving process. But I would appreciate anything, ANYTHING, to help me with my son and the costs of everything to come moving forward.
