SUPPORT FOR MEHDI HABIBI’S FAMILY

On Sunday 1st of September, 17 year old Mehdi Habibi and his family were enjoying a family outing on Father’s Day at Victor Harbour when disaster struck.

Mehdi and his younger brother were exploring Granite Island when Mehdi asked his brother to take a photo of him standing on the rocks by the waves. A freak wave struck the rocks and took Mehdi into the ocean.

Mehdi has yet to be found with search and rescue efforts continuing at a minimal rate but the family hasn’t given up hope and have continued to search the island every single day from morning to night in search of him.

Adelaide Sisters Association have become aware of the distress, pain and trauma Mehdis father, mother, little brother and family have all been under during this time as well as a loss of income whilst they continue to search daily for their son.

We have created this page with Mehdi’s father’s permission and have made him the beneficiary of this GoFundMe page. Therefore all funds raised will go directly to Mehdi’s family.

We hope that by raising some funds for the family we can provide some ease and lift some stress and burdens during this already incredibly difficult time.
