Support for Abbie and Laura Bossom

As so many of you are aware, Abbie and Laura Bossom suddenly and tragically lost their adoring husband and father, Stephen, on July 15. It is impossible to fully or sufficiently measure the loss of this extraordinary life and soul -- a vigorous and joy-filled man devoted to and delighted in his family and boundlessly impactful in and enriching to countless lives.

Person after person has asked if there is any way that they can help Abbie and Laura in this heartbreaking time. The financial needs of walking through these overwhelming circumstances and transitioning into this new and unexpectedly hard season of life, for a mom and young daughter, are self-evident to all; so this page has been set up to give any who wish the opportunity to help and encourage these dear ones in this way.

This is the message that Abbie shared on social media to communicate this enormous loss to friends and family everywhere:

"Dearest family and friends,

With overwhelming sorrow and grief I must share with you all the unfathomable loss of the best man I have ever known.

Stephen was the most attentive and adoring Papa to our precious Laura and the love, light, and heart of my life. He was our whole world and the rock of our family. We absolutely adored him and he gave his entire life and heart and days to loving and nurturing and caring for us.

The peace I have, in the midst of absolute agony is the knowledge that he is with the Lord he loved, basking in the light and joy of his eternal home.

Laura and I are surrounded with love and support from both of our families. By God's kindness I have my entire family here with us (in Maine), caring for us and helping us with all the heavy hearted tasks at hand.

Stephen Paul, I love you with all my heart and will miss you forever. ❤

I do want to share that a memorial service is being planned for this Saturday in Springfield Virginia at Harvester Presbyterian Church.
