Support for Abera Megersa Shokicha’s Family

Our dear friend, beloved husband, loving father, brother, and a local church and community member Mr. Abera M Shokicha has sadly lost his 3-years battle with an illness and passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. The early departure of Abera has devastated his young family and everyone who knows him as a charming, kind, humble, respectful, and disciplined man.

Abera left behind his amazing wife, a wonderful son aged 10 and a beautiful daughter aged 7. All of whom courageously stood by his side during the challenging last three years. The family is now under elevated emotional and financial stress due to the loss of their beloved husband and father, who was the primary breadwinner. While we cannot bring Abera back, we hope to raise some funds to cover the funeral expenses and other emergency costs.

Abera, who would have been 38 years old next month, obtained his degree in Biochemistry in 2014 from San Francisco State University. Abera worked tirelessly to provide a bright future for his children and even worked during the most brutal fights of his illness to ensure his family's wellbeing.

We appreciate all contributions towards supporting the family during this heartbreaking time.
