Support for Ada and family

I am writing on behalf of my son Ben, Kim, Ada and Albie.

Our beautiful granddaughter Ada was diagnosed suddenly with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at 5 years old in February this year. The news came as a devastating shock and watching their child go through treatment has been nothing short of heartbreaking for them both. They ended last year on a high with the birth of their baby boy for their world to come crashing down just 8 weeks later. No parent should ever have to hear the words that their child has cancer.

Ada has reacted well to her treatment but the stages and side effects are challenging, emotionally and physically tough on her.

Whilst bravely receiving treatment over at Sheffield children’s hospital there is currently no help towards additional expenses that occur such as travel, parking and groceries. Parking directly opposite the hospital is privately owned and charges on average between £5-£20 per day. We kindly ask if you are able to contribute in anyway to please help support towards these ongoing expenses as hospital visits are frequent and will continue to be so until Ada finishes her treatment in March 2025. Unfortunately they are expecting a loss of income due to Ada’s circumstances and our hope is to relieve any financial pressure during this already stressful time so they can focus on what is most important.

One of Ada's wishes is to visit Disneyland. A wish she is very much holding on to and looking forward to once her treatment is complete. Any donations raised we also hope will go towards making her dream come true so they can make special well deserved memories for Ada. As since diagnosis plans, days out, school, have all been put on hold in fear of risking Ada’s health any further.
