Support for Adrienne, Leon and Rey Hyder

It is with a broken heart, I regret to announce that our family has had to suddenly and unexpectedly say goodbye to Andrew Hyder. 

Andrew was a loving husband to Adrienne and  the very best father to Leon and little Rey Rey. We don't know why Andrew has left us and we are waiting for answers to this tragic situation. Thursday, May 6, 2021, after returning home from the playground with the boys, Adrienne found Andrew unresponsive and called for emergency assistance around midday, then shortly after arriving at the emergency room, he was gone. At this time, the family is asking for everyone to please lift Adrienne, Leon and Rey up with prayers and love, as they figure out next steps, not only for today and the next few days, but for the road they are headed down in the weeks and months ahead.


We also want to thank everyone for the overwhelming outpouring of support and love during this difficult time. We are still figuring out the best ways we can support Adrienne and the boys moving forward with other needs like meals, babysitting, gift cards, etc... So many of you have asked about how to help, and we truly appreciate the huge community of people who are crying and grieving with us, so one step has been to  set up this fundraiser to help her with any financial hardships for funeral costs, bills and/or anything else she will need at this time. Any additional money will be put in savings accounts for Leon and Rey.

We all loved Andrew and his unassuming ways, his kind heart and love for the world and everyone around him. He was Adrienne's life partner and best friend, he was an excellent father to Leon and Rey. He was also a well-loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and co-worker, who has deeply touched so many lives in his short 39-years on Earth. Gone too soon, we all feel so blessed to have had the chance to know and love him. He will be forever missed and never forgotten by all who were lucky enough to know him. We love you Andrew and we will ALWAYS hold you in our hearts.


We will update this page when appropriate and again thank you for all the offers of love and support, we hope Andrew can rest a little easier knowing his family will be taken care of by all of us. **This platform has asked me to further explain and clarify the purpose of this fundraiser**

I am Adrienne’s older sister and ALL of the generous funds being donated here for Adrienne and her family will be put directly into her bank account. She has already accepted the withdrawal control for this fundraiser. Furthermore, the money will not only go toward the funeral and memorial expenses, but will also be used to pay for the mortgage of their home, food and transportation costs, also child care, schooling and other bills, like loans she will have to cover in Andrew’s absence. In essence, this allows her to grieve and not worry about finances for the foreseeable future. Thank you again for the outpouring of support.
