Support for Ali Boog and Sean Smid
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is being made on behalf of our beloved friend, Ali Boog, who tragically and unexpectedly had a seizure and was not able to be resuscitated in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve.
So many people are left reeling and struggling to wrap their heads around the magnitude and suddenness of this loss, no more so than Ali's partner of nearly 5 years and their beloved furbabies.
I know everyone, myself included, is trying to find ways to support Sean through this unimaginable loss, as Ali has supported countless people through loss and hard times in their own lives, people are desperate to return all the support and comfort they found from Ali in knowing the blessing of her friendship. Ali wasn't one to ask for or accept help and neither was Sean but, I wasn't taking "no" for an answer and Sean begrudgingly acknowledged Ali would want to do anything she could for Sean and the furbabies.
Sean not only lost the love of his life and partner, which is unimaginable enough. He lost her at the time of year things are the tightest financially. He recently started a new job and only had ONE DAY to process the trauma he just endured before having no choice but to return to work. Truly unfathomable. To make matters even harder this also meant 1/2 of the income to pay bills/rent/expenses was also lost.
Full disclosure by all accounts, Ali's parents have been wonderful and are covering all medical expenses accrued from that terrible night as well as all the arrangements of laying Ali to rest ( I do not have any details on that at this the time of writing this but, will update) so any money donated will go directly to Sean to use in any way needed.
Besides the GoFundMe I am including Sean's Venmo (@bobjoblonski) if anyone would rather donate that way to avoid fees or just feel more comfortable since not everyone knows me.
I can not thank everyone, friends and strangers alike for the overwhelming love and support they have shown to Sean as well as each other during this time. Surely Ali would be so proud and her little black heart would've grown 3 sizes to see how loved she was and is. <3
