Here is an update on Allen and his journey through cancer treatment. All donations will go towards any need that might arise as Allen continues to get treatment.

Allen has had two brain surgeries five weeks apart. The second one got 90% of what the surgeon could see but this kind of tumor has tentacles and is very fast growing. After the second surgery he went to rehab for two weeks then took radiation and a chemo pill for two months.

They got to come home after that and he had a month off of treatment. He started the chemo pill again in March and he will take it for 5 days and then have 23 days off. He will do this for 6 months. The doctors upped his dosage in April and he's been more tired this time. After his six months of chemo they should do surgery to put a plate in the right side of his head because he still does not have his skull or anything in his head on the right side. While he is up walking he needs to wear a helmet for safety reasons in case he fell or anything. They will go to Mayo Clinic in Phoenix at the end of April for tests and scans

Our dear friend and brother in Christ Allen Melton has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Allen is retired from Oxy and spent 30-plus years in the oilfield. He is a hard-working and kind individual that loves people and loves God. Allen and Susie just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary and anticipate spending many more years together.

The medical procedure needed is costly so we are rallying the troops to help support their cause. Any donation given will be used towards his medical procedure as well as any traveling costs associated with his treatments.
