Help Amanda & Jake Recover from Eaton Fire

We (Amy and Ken Shelf) are asking you to support our sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Jake, along with their son Miles, who lost their house to the Eaton Fires this week in Los Angeles. They had just moved to the wonderful and welcoming community of Altadena in September of 2024, into what they hoped would be their forever home. They managed to collect their two dogs, one small suitcase, and their passports before evacuating, but all of their other worldly possessions are gone.

Amanda, Jake, and Miles were only just beginning to settle into their new lives in Altadena. The next few months are a huge mystery. We are asking for support for them as they try to pick up the pieces after this tremendous loss.

There are a lot of ways to support the people of Los Angeles right now, and your support will be crucial to the huge community of people who have lost their homes this week. We are grateful for any help you can provide to them in this challenging moment.
