Support for Ami Anderson

Hello friends,

As some of you know, Ami has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in Victoria. At the time of writing, she has just completed 4 of 8 rounds of chemo, to be followed by mastectomy and radiation. Unfortunately, her treatment will be aggressive due to an atypical presentation and rapid growth. She is also exploring alternative treatments to support her health and complement the standard therapy.

As is her stoic nature, Ami has not made a big fuss about this and is pushing through this scary experience. Fortunately, she is handling chemo well so far, and the tumour and lymph nodes are shrinking, but the next few rounds are supposedly the hardest. She has had to stop working and is unsure of when she will be able to return to her job.

Any illness is stressful, but breast cancer, and the subsequent treatment, are especially traumatic for a young woman. Ami is strong and determined, but she could use some support to help reduce her stress load, explore alternative treatments, and focus on healing. Let us gather around our dear Ami and help hold her up during this challenging time.
