Support for Andra Mayberry

Donation protected
I’m setting up this go fund me to help support our dad through his diagnosis of end stage renal disease and having to start dialysis quickly. He will be placed on peritoneal dialysis at home. On Thursday March 28th, he underwent surgery to have the catheter placed in his stomach for peritoneal dialysis. It was an outpatient procedure and he came home that same day. The following day my dad begun experiencing unbearable pain and it was not getting any better. By Saturday he had to be transported to the ER by ambulance discovering that the surgeon nicked an artery causing bleeding in his stomach. He is currently admitted in the hospital. At this point, we were advised the bleeding has stopped but they will continue to monitor him overnight. He is still in a lot of pain and unable to receive any relief.

This diagnosis has become life changing for our parents. Recently dad has had to give up on his lawn care business, that was his pride and joy and what he had always dreamed of owning. Becoming “disabled” is something my dad never thought would happen so soon. With this support the funds will go directly to him and my mom as she has been and will be out of work to be his full-time caretaker. If you don’t know, receiving disability benefits is not an easy process and can take months for approval and receive benefits.
Thank you for your support and prayers,
Haley & Hayten Mayberry

Update: Dad was able to get discharged yesterday. His labs showed no more blood loss which is great but he is still in ALOT of pain. He still has about 6 weeks of recovery and about 2 weeks before starting dialysis. We pray no more complications come up. We appreciate everything the prayers, donations, support from everyone!
Please continue to pray for him.
We thank and appreciate you all

4/7/24 Update:
(From Jennifer Mayberry) My husband, Andra Mayberry and I would like to express our utmost gratitude to all of our family and friends for the outpouring of prayers and support through this major change in our life. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Without your prayers, support and contact, we would not know how to continue this journey.
Update on Andra, his pain is subsiding, but only when he does not move around much. Once the peritoneal catheter has healed a little more, the dialysis will start and we hope he begins to feel much better.
Once again, our family thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts. Love you all.
