Support for Anthony and Family

In 2015 Anthony was diagnosed with a rare condition called congenital lobar emphysema. It is a respiratory disorder where the air can enter the lungs but can't escape. It causes the lungs to become over inflated. When Anthony was 1 month old he was air lifted to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor Children's Hospital where he had an emergency surgery to remove his left upper lung. While there he was also diagnosed with the worst case of RSV Ann Arbor had ever seen. It was during this hospital stay that Angela and Peter were told for the first time that he wouldn't survive.  As they prepared to say goodbye something amazing happened. God granted Anthony a miracle and things began to turn around. Anthony made a full recovery.

Over the last 6 years Anthony has undergone a few surgeries to put in a tissue expander where he is missing his lung. Despite this, Anthony was thriving. He was busy playing baseball and doing all the things a little boy should do. His lung issues didn't set him back. They made him stronger! Anthony is a fighter and he has proven this every day of his life.

On Monday May 10th,  Anthony had another surgery to put in a tissue expander.   What was supposed to be a routine surgery took a turn for the worse early Tuesday morning.  Anthony once again almost died. The nurses and doctors preformed CPR on him for an hour before finally bringing him back. Since then he has a had many complications and several more surgeries. Anthony remains on life support and continues to fight for his life.

Peter and Angela have endured more then any parent should ever go through. They have watched their baby almost die twice. Things with Anthony are dire but they remain confident God will grant Anthony another miracle, and continue to pray for a full recovery.

We can not take away Peter and Angela's pain, but we can help with the financial burden they are facing. When Anthony fights his way back it will be a long road to recovery. They will be looking at weeks to months in the hospital and medical bills for his stay and many surgeries and life saving measures. In addition to this, the long recovery will mean Angela will be unable to work, furthering the financial burden.

They have an army of people praying and supporting them. Let's come together once again to help ease the financial burden so they can focus on what is most important, Anthony.

Please continue to pray for a miracle. God is able!
