Support for Ashley & Bane

They thought the worst thing they'd face was a bear attack in 2019 but now this sweet, heroic boy has been diagnosed with a rare cancer and he needs a drastic surgery immediately.

Bane has been diagnosed with oral plasmacytoma, a rare tumour that only 5.2% turn out to be.

This tumour is fast growing and in Bane's case, invades and destroys bone.

Bane had the exterior tumour removed but the amount of bone damage requires a special surgery and a specialist veterinary surgeon.

Bane's surgery will consist of removing a part of his lower jaw and a bone graft to possibly removing most of the lower jaw in what's called a mandibulectomy. Unfortunately the surgeon won't know until the day of surgery.

Without this surgery, otherwise healthy Bane would be looking at palliative care. Not only will more tumours develop but His jaw bone will continue to deteriorate until it breaks resulting in immense pain, the need for high dose pain medication, loss of quality of life and eventually euthanasia.

With vet bills already totaling over 3k, and another expected 9k for surgery and followup, and both of Bane's guardians running two small businesses during unprecedented highs of cost of living, the price of this surgery is not possible.

They saved each other before but this time Ashley needs some help. Bane deserves to live a long happy life.
