Support Asmaa Tayseer and Her Family’s Survival in Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Ian Garvey from Blue Ridge, Georgia USA and I’m fundraising for Asmaa Tayseer in Gaza.
From Asmaa:
“Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit this page. There is no doubt that you have an idea of what is happening in my country, specifically the Gaza Strip. Seven months after I was displaced from my home and my dreams were demolished, I am suffering from a lack of supplies, aid, and our basic requirements for me and my family, of which we have lost enough.
I, Asmaa Tayseer, lost part of my home. I have 7 children, including twins. I suffer from a lack of children’s supplies because of my escape from my home. I was unable to take anything with me from my home because of the bombing and fleeing from one place to another because of the war. I and my children fled in southern Gaza. My husband remained in the north of it, in the combat zone, where death could not escape. I fled to a place that is not suitable for life due to the spread of bacteria and diseases. My children are suffering due to the lack of medicine and lack of cleanliness in the place, and there are no great capabilities to treat everyone. My daughter needs an operation and she has a problem with her health. Her eyesight, and because of the war, her condition has worsened further and she needs surgery. I hope that you will support my campaign for my family and help me survive death and war and take us out of the combat zone, Gaza, to Egypt, where I need treatment and attention to the health of my children. All of this requires your support and donation to me through my link to the campaign.
Thank you sincerely and I hope you know that all the money you donate will have a critical impact on providing my family with the opportunity to re-establish their lives, any surplus will go towards legal fees, treatment for more family members and the opportunity for temporary residence in another country.
(Edit 7/8/2024: The money will be sent to my brother Mohammed Abu Al-Laban who currently resides in Istanbul, Turkey after evacuating from Rafah. He will facilitate the evacuation through Hala Travel when the possibility of evacuating presents itself again. If the conflict stops before the border reopens, the family will reassess their needs but no matter what happens they will need continued support to rebuild their lives)
Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions regarding the detailed cost.”
Edit 7/8/2024
Here are the names and ages of Asmaa’s children:
Noor 19y
Sara 17y
Anwar 15y
Reem 12y
Omar 5y
Ahmed 4y
Anas 4y
everyone under 15, it will cost $2,500 to evacuate and everyone over 15 $5,000 bringing the goal to $25,000. Once that goal is reached, it will be raised to cover the cost of rebuilding their lives.
UPDATE Monday 21 October 2024
This fund is changing from an evacuation fund to a survival fund. Asmaa still has to evacuate her daughter and get her medical treatment ASAP, but we’re working on finding an avenue to undergo medical evacuation. We’ve heard cases of people being able to do this right now.
In the meantime, Asmaa needs to feed her family and get them winter clothes. She says she can survive with a minimum of $200/week.
She is also trying to raise money to afford to rent a room. Right now, they’re taking shelter in the hall of a building near her sister Raja.
Please donate what you can, and if you can’t please find a friend or family member who can!
