Tragically, her commitment to her work was met with violence when a student she was responsible for assaulted her, leaving her unable to work for the past few weeks along with an unknown return to work date.

Laura is known for her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to her job. The incident has not only caused physical injuries but also emotional trauma, which has kept her from the job she loves and the students she is devoted to serving.
