Update on Aunica Cole: Her Journey of Life, Love, and Legacy

Dear friends and family,

This past week has been incredibly challenging, as my adoptive sister, Aunica Cole, suffered an unexpected and massive brain bleed, which led to her being declared brain dead. However, Aunica, a dedicated organ donor, continues to give the ultimate gift by donating her organs to those in need.

we are waiting on all medical team today and if everything go well , we honor Aunica with a walk of honor. This solemn moment will see Aunica escorted by loved ones and hospital staff to the operating room, where her organs, tissues, and every part of her body that can save lives will be donated, allowing her to impact countless lives even in passing.

A Scripture for Encouragement:
In this time of grief, we find comfort knowing Aunica is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her legacy of love, hope, and generosity continues, and we hold fast to the words in Romans 8:18:
_"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."_

Aunica’s story lives on through her incredible selflessness, and though our hearts ache, we know she is at peace.

Aunica's Medical Journey
The medical team conducting thorough tests over the last few days to assess Aunica’s organ function and readiness for donation. The walk of honor today marks the final step before her legacy is continued through the lives she will touch.

Support Through the GoFundMe Campaign
Originally, this campaign was set up to assist with Aunica’s medical and living expenses. We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we've received so far. We want to thank an anonymous donor who generously covered:
1.  We are so thankful for our anonymous who help with Funeral expenses & Help with rents to help ease the burden during this difficult time.
2. Please help Deloris and Slade as they transition into a new reality and plan for the future in 2025.

Yet, we still face significant costs, including:
-Ongoing medical bills
- Assistance for Deloris and Slade during this adjustment period.

We have only received 5% of our goal of $30,000. Your support is crucial to reaching this milestone. Please share this GoFundMe with friends and family to help us cross the finish line.

With love and gratitude,
The Stone FamilyDear friends,
With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news about Aunica Cole. Aunica, a loving mother, daughter, and friend, suffered a sudden and severe brain bleed. Doctors have shared that she will not recover. She is currently on life support, awaiting the process of donating her organs to give the gift of life to others—a final act of love and selflessness that reflects the beautiful soul she was.

Aunica grew up alongside her mother at the Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home, where her mother dedicated her life to serving children as a housemother. During those years, Aunica not only found joy in spending time with the other children but also grew up watching her mother’s heart for service. Her mother’s commitment to providing love and care for countless children shaped Aunica into the selfless, giving woman we knew and loved. Even as her mother continued her work at the children’s home, Aunica pursued her education and eventually became a devoted mother herself.

Now, Aunica leaves behind her 18-year-old son, Slade, who recently graduated high school and had just moved to live with her. She also leaves behind her mother, who now faces the unimaginable heartbreak of losing her daughter. Both Slade and her mother are left without a home or resources to navigate this overwhelming situation.

We are coming together to honor Aunica’s life, support her family during this difficult time, and help them rebuild their lives.
