Support for Baby Channing- Liz & James Riha

On Saturday July 3rd, the world fell apart for Liz and James Riha.

Their fourth child, only two weeks old, was ill and admitted to the hospital. Seemingly healthy and growing, Channing was having a hard day that Saturday. He wasn't eating well, and eventually turned pale and sweaty that evening. By the time he arrived in the ER, he was in respiratory distress. He was very sick. Liz and James soon heard the news that no parent wants to hear. Channing was in right-sided heart failure due to a pulmonary hypertension crisis. He was rushed to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and put on a ventilator. Channing has remained in the PICU since his admission and it has been a roller coaster for this precious boy and his faithful parents. There are still no clear answers as to what is causing this. Channing is still on a ventilator and has endured so much, as have Liz and James, and their families. There is a long road of procedures and recovery ahead for this wonderful family.
