My mom, Barbara Bessert, more dearly known as Grandma Barb and Grammy Grams, passed away on October 22, 2024. She was 69 years old. Mom cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved having them at her house. She spent a great deal of time raising grandkids and babysitting them.

My mom loved crocheting and sewing, singing, and creating diamond art paintings. She was just always there for everyone and would call us and say, “Hey come over, I’ve got something for my grandkids.”

My mom would laugh when one of us came to pick up the kids and find the backpacks, every hat, every mitten, every article of clothing they came with, She knew what it was like to struggle and make do with what she had. There was always something cooking and the grandkids loved her cheesy broccoli.

Grandma Barb was cremated shortly after passing away. We are looking for help to pay the cost of the cremation and to hold a Celebration of Life to remember this remarkable woman. She had the kindest heart and Heaven is celebrating her arrival.
