Support for Best Friend's Father's Farewell

My name is Patricia. Without putting too much personal information out there, I just learned my best friend's father is in hospice. As we know, expenses of final preparation and rest for our loved ones are up there, and her father has no insurance, will, or burial preparations made. His only request is that he is cremated and his ashes divided between her and her brother. We have not found anything below $2000, and that is just for cremation, no other amenities. Sadly, this is expected to happen at any time

I'm hoping for $4000 as this will assure his final wishes are met, and his children will be able to memorialize his remains in a proper urn.
