Support for Bidia

Please help us raise funds to pay for Bidia’s medical bills.  After years of silent illnesses, Bidia was finally diagnosed with severe osteoporosis, autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid urethritis causing chronic fatigue, muscle aches, pain, weakness, joint pain and soreness, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, nodes under her throat affecting her vocal cords and more. She received expensive steroid infiltrations to alleviate the body pain, without much success. Bidia consulted the best NYC doctors for treatment, which was unfortunately not covered by her health insurance.  Last Monday, April 15th, she underwent a 12 hours surgery.  

Bidia is a wonderful person. She is vibrant and dynamic.  When people see her, they see energy not sickness. Many of you have experienced her hospitality. Over the years, she has welcomed tons of people in her home providing moments of joy for community over homemade food. Some people were seeking a break from their issues, slept at her home and left uplifted. Needless to say, her generosity and warmth do not go unnoticed. 

It is now her turn to ask for help. We would be so grateful if you and your network could help clear some of the exorbitant medical expenses. Your generosity would help our mother recovery.
