Bikram Arora passed away on April 29, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is leaving behind his wife Sapna and their kids Bulbul, Manu and Sherry.
After receiving his Civil Engineering degree from Gulbarga University, Lieutenant Colonel Bikram Arora provided 17 years of dedicated service to the Indian Army. Bikram left the comforts and security of their life in India to give his family opportunities for a better future in Canada. After a short stint in Oman, Bikram and his family arrived in Calgary in the winter of 2012.
Arriving in Calgary with little money, Bikram embraced the opportunities before him, quickly establishing himself professionally at Worley Parsons and then at Jacobs. At Jacobs he was assigned to the Shell Retail program which ultimately led him to join Shell in 2016.
At Shell, Bikram instantly made his presence felt with his passion to learn, tremendous work ethic, youthful (BIG) heart and boisterous laugh. Bikram led by example and was able to bring the best out of those around him. He was a model of perseverance and positivity in all areas of his life, his "no pressure, no excuses" attitude transferred to his passion for running outdoors and hiking in the mountains. Bikram was an absolute treasure to the Shell family, great family man, respected coworker and wonderful friend that will be fondly remembered.
Bikram's family is shocked, saddened and unfortunately not financially prepared for this loss. Please show your support in loving memory of Bikram's legacy by contributing to Bikram's family during this difficult time to help cover the unexpected financial burdens associated with his passing.
