Support for Billy and Beth Darby

My name is Lisa, and I am the niece of Beth and Billy. Recently, Billy was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal esophageal and liver cancer. As if they didn't have enough on their plate already! For those of you that know Billy, you are probably aware that he has been ill for a while now. Unfortunately, Billy's doctors never found the reason until recently, allowing the cancer to worsen over time. Many of you probably know that Billy had fallen at work early last year. He had torn his rotator cuff and needed surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful, and he was informed that he would need a shoulder replacement. He is also dealing with blindness in one eye due to needing a cornea transplant. Billy already underwent cataract surgery 2 days ago to help with his vision as well. Billy has multiple appointments in the very near future for further testing, and he will also be receiving blood transfusions every other day due to severe Anemia.

For those of you that know Billy and Beth, you are aware that the past few years have been difficult for them due to illness, losing loved ones, and extensive and numerous home repairs. Now, the medical bills are beginning to pile up on top of everything else they have going on.

Beth and Billy are not the type of people to ask for help. (I was even reluctant to ask them if I could start this fundraiser for them). However, they are the type of people that would invite you in to their home, and make you feel like you're part of the family. They are loving and caring, and are always there for everyone when needed. Now it is time for us to be there for them, so they are able to focus on their health and family. Billy and Beth have 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren that love them very much.
