Support for Bob & Kristy Shaffer

Many of you know Bob Shaffer and his wife Kristy, but what you may or may not know is that recently, Bob was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Just before Thanksgiving, Bob started having severe stomach pains. After many labs, ultrasounds, CT scans, an MRI, scopes, and biopsies he was told the news that none of us expected. Originally believed to have been spread to other locations in his body, we now know that it is contained to the pancreas. With the diagnosis that, by the grace of God and with answered prayers, the cancer has not spread, and Bob was able to start chemotherapy on December 30th! Bob will have at least 4 rounds of chemo lasting 8 weeks before being reevaluated to determine next steps, whether that is more chemo, radiation, or a major surgery to remove the cancer - or a combination thereof. We are hoping that we can raise enough money so that Bob and his wife Kristy can cover the medical bills and other expenses that may arise during this time.

Bob and Kristy have always been there to lend their helping hands to everyone in need. Whether it is organizing others events (benefits, weddings, funerals), volunteering for community service & mission trips, and just volunteering their time in general.
