Support for Bobby Rice's Medical Crisis

Hi, my name is Kurt Tarvis, a close friend of the Rice family. I am setting up this fundraiser with his immediate family to help pay for medical bills and expenses as they are facing this unforeseen hardship at this time. If you have met Bobby or any of his family, you know how just how amazing they all are, they are kind and generous people who would and have helped so many others in their time of need.

Robert "Bobby" Rice, the patriarch of the family, was on vacation in Las Vegas when he rapidly fell ill on Friday, April 26th, where he remains hospitalized in ICU, with the situation intensifying in the recent days. Bobby has had issues with his one knee replacement becoming infected before, this time he has become septic and both knee replacements are infected and the sepsis is taking a toll on major organs and body as a whole. There is talk of amputation of not just one but both legs. At this time, he is not stable enough to make the journey back to Boston and will remain hospitalized in Nevada for the foreseeable future.

His loving wife Gwen and two of his daughters Michelle and Christina, are all in Las Vegas with him during this tough time. This was a highly unanticipated event and has put a great strain on their finances. With all of the flights, hotels, rides, food, etc, and the massive future medical bills, this family could use the support of those able to provide some assistance. Bobby's business that he owns will inevitably take a massive hit from him not being able to run it. Gwen, Michelle, and Christina's fiance Brandon are all out of work too as they deal with this dire emergency.

No donation is too big or too small - anything you can assist with will help the family and allow them to solely focus on making sure they can be with him as they navigate this situation.
