Support for Brandon Kizer's Funeral Costs

Brandon Kizer passed away last Wednesday. He unfortunately had a life long battle with addiction and towards the end experienced severe mental health issues including hallucinations, both audible and visual. We believed it to be the onset of schizophrenia but he was never fully diagnosed.

Tragically the voices he was battling took over on Wednesday August 7, 2024 and he stabbed his mom in the ribs causing her to have a punctured lung. He let her go and she was able to get to another apartment to safety. During this time the police showed up and tried to tell him to drop the knife, but he wasn't in his right mind, so he didn't listen. They shot him several times and almost killed his grandmother who was inside. His grandmother says he told her to take cover and was trying to protect her.

It's tragic, he just needed help but the police aren't trained to handle mental health issues such as this. His death is a great loss to everyone who knows him. BK was so funny always joking around and laughing. He loved skateboarding, music, and rapping and would make songs all the time.

His mother is trying to deal with the trauma of this day and she needs help. She didn't want her son to die, she just needed an ambulance that day and the police to deescalate the situation but instead the worst thing that could ever happen, happened.

We're setting up this gofundme in hopes to raise enough for BK's funeral service, including cremation and hopefully enough to get a headstone. Also since this was so traumatic the family needs to move into a new home, somewhere far from the pain of this day.
