Support Brandon's long journey ahead
Donation protected
I am reaching out for my friend, my family, my brother, Brandon Gonzales. His life has forever changed after a horrific motorcycle accident. As he navigates this long road ahead, he and his family will need much assistance with the ongoing medical needs.
On March 31st, 2019, Brandon along with two of his friends took their motorcycle's out for a ride to an event in Oakland, CA. While on the freeway Brandon's back break locked up causing him to strike the vehicle in front of him. Unfortunately, he had suffered severe damage to his left leg and sustained internal injuries along with several broken ribs. Thankfully, his friends reacted quickly, they stopped traffic to avoid further injury and also applied a tourniquet to his leg. We feel this was life saving for Brandon. Within moments after witnessing the accident an off-duty paramedic also came to assist with his own knowledge and medical kit. We are so grateful.
After undergoing surgery to his left leg, the surgeon was unable to repair the damage. At only 35 years old, Brandon's leg was amputated just below the knee less than 24 hours after the accident.
He is continuing to receive treatment at the hospital, undergoing yet another surgery. He will be in recovery which will last for an undetermined amount of time. By his side is the love of his life, Shana and their beautiful ever smiling three and a half year old son, Drake.
Brandon is an outgoing man with a passion for life. He is a very strong man with soft heart for his son, his wife, his family. Family comes first in his book and that is undeniable. He is a strong willed person, even in these moments, he continues to remain positive and we know he will come out of this being more bad ass than he already is.
We are reaching out for your assistance, for your help in any donation you might possibly be able to provide. Every little bit helps to ease the financial stress that comes with this life changing experience.
