Support for Brendan Corkery

For those of you who may not know exactly who I am or for those of you who do, my name is Brendan Corkery and I am the Enrichment teacher at The Goddard School. I am writing to all of you to inform you that I will be leaving The Goddard School. I have been diagnosed with a form of cancer and I must leave to go receive treatments. This was not an easy decision for me to make and I will miss working with a great group of teachers and front office staff.
I just want to thank all of you parents for everything you have done for me and this school while I was employed here. Whether it was striking up a conversation with me, asking questions, making me laugh or just a simple hello, your continued support made life so much easier for me as a teacher, and I truly appreciate it. I also want to say something about your kids and attempt to put into words how much they mean to me. Every one of them has such a special place in my heart. They could always put a smile on my face or make me laugh, even when I was not having the best day. Each child brought their own personality into my room and made everyday something unique. Working with them this past year and a half has been such a blessing on my life and I will forever cherish the memories we have made together. I will still try to come around and visit when I can. So as my favorite actor Denzel Washington said once, “It is not goodbye, it’s see you later”.
Sincerely,
Brendan Corkery
