Support for Brian's Brain Surgery Recovery

UPDATE- we are so grateful for everyone’s outpouring of love and support. We reached our goal within 24 hours and we are so thankful for the generosity shown to us. Words cannot express what this means to us, but it will afford me extra time off to be with Brian and our children during this time. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Hi my name is Kristen and this fundraiser is for my husband Brian. The last week has been a whirlwind, he started having some eyesight issues so he went to the optometrist who sent him to the opthomologist who then sent him to get an MRI, now we don’t have an official diagnosis just yet, but he has a large mass in his brain pushing on his pituitary glad causing him to have some blindness. He had his MRI yesterday and will be having brain surgery on Wednesday May 29th and will be admitted for a couple of days followed by convalescent leave for a month. This is all very sudden and because of that I have to take work off to care for our children while he is going through all of this. We are incredibly lucky that he is active duty military so we don’t have to worry about his paycheck, but I’m hoping this can raise enough for me to be able to take two weeks off and not have to worry about my paycheck and the bills that come with that. I’m currently taking 4 days off but I am hopeful to be able to take a little more to be there for him in his time of need. If you know Brian you know he is genuine and kind and helps where he can. We love him so much and this news is so incredibly tough to process.
