Update Dec 26, 2024
Well hello everyone, sorry for not updating, Ive been a little sick. Anyways, I FaceTime'd with Bridget two days ago, she is doing well, it was nice to finally talk to her, she is in good spirts and understands the long journey ahead. Kevin came home to spend Christmas with Emma and Kate and Louise spent Christmas with Bridget. For people looking for updates I'll continue to do that but Kevin also will be providing updates, his will always be below mine. Have a great 2025 everyone and keep checking for Bridget progress, we're gonna get there!

Update Dec 20, 2024
Hello everyone, I was suppose to go drive down to see Kevin today but of course I got a bad cold. However, another coworker and his wife drove down to go see him and bring him his truck so he can get around town.
Kevin texted me earlier and said Bridgette is talking quite a bit now, she doesn't remember anything except a loud noise, she did say she misses her babies. ❤️ She is aware she lost her hand. The love and support by all of us is greatly appreciated.
This is a time of healing both physically and emotionally. Please continue providing support for Bridgette.

Update Dec 18, 2024
Good Afternoon, Kevin did a couple updates below, please scroll down to read them. Thank you.

Update Dec 17, 2024
Text from Kevin this morning.

Progress today - Bri was able to open her eyes very slightly. She was able to turn her head to respond to a voice, in both directions. She seemed to be slightly aware that family was there. Some IVs were removed. Her vitals & colour are good. Both legs are the same colour & temperature. Her medical staff are optimistic. Plastic surgeon may be doing jaw/face surgery shortly and shattered pelvic surgery will be scheduled further down the road to allow her body to heal.

Update Dec 16, 2024
Good morning everyone, Bridgettes abdominal surgery started later in te day yesterday and went into the later hours. Kevin texted me saying the surgery went well. "She's all closed up, and she was taken off her blood pressure medication. She responding well without it." Below is a text from Bridgettes Aunt Bernadette who was at the hospital.

Update Dec 15, 2024
Hello everyone, yesterday morning Bridget was awoken from her induced coma to see how she would react, she did amazingly well, she reacted to commands on moving fingers and toes and was able to do so, she teared up from her family talking to her, she is fighting!
She was as coherent as expected for the 1 hour she was awake. They induced her again for the rest of the day. Today is a very important surgery day, her colon and stomach will be reattached, so if all of that goes well we may be through the worst, I will update later tonight. Once again I'd like to thank everyone who donated and following this tragic incident. I'm so taken back of the amount of money raised for them, you are all amazing people. God bless you all.

Update, Dec 13, 2024
Hello everyone, Kevin has asked me to update everyone on Bridgettes condition. I'd like to have better news but she's not out of the woods by any means. Unfortunately Bridgette had her right hand amputated along with part of her forarm. She also has the following injuries to deal with, appendix was removed, her colon is detached, she had surgery on her lungs, heart, stomach and colon all to stop the internal bleeding, her pelvic and femur both shattered and is currently in surgery right now. Another stomach surgery scheduled for tommorow and pellets in her face, jaw and eye cavity. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

My name is Bob Cliffe and I am a close friends of Kevin and Bridgette Hagen and her family. As you may have heard or read, Bridgette sustained life altering injuries resulting from gun shot wounds at her place of employment in Wawa on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She will have a long road ahead of her for recovery as she is going through multiple surgeries in Sudbury. I am starting this Gofundme page because I would like to raise money to help the family with all the expenses that they will be facing during this stressful time. Donations are to be used by the family for whatever they may need while supporting Bridgette during her recovery.
