There are moments in life when words fail, when the weight of grief is so heavy that it feels like the air is too thick to breathe. The Tyrell sisters are living through one of those moments. Their father, Jason Tyrell, has passed away too soon, and they find themselves in the heartache of losing the person who helped shape, guide, and love them unconditionally.

When you lose a parent, it feels as though a piece of your soul is taken away, leaving an empty space that no one else will ever fill. For Caitlin and Ashleigh this comes at a time when they are far from home, in the midst of building a life in Australia, following the dreams once shared with their dad.

As Caitlin and Ashleigh return to New Zealand to grieve and be with Estella and extended family, they must pause life, work, business, and the sanctuary they created in Australia. Caitlin’s incredible small business, Space Gelly, which we all know and love, has to take a back seat as they focus on what truly matters: family, love, and healing. The reality of taking this time to mourn is a hard one, as the weight of responsibility to keep up with the day-to-day expenses — rent, bills, business upkeep, etc — never stops.

This fundraiser has been created by a friend to support Caitlin, Ashleigh and Estella through this unimaginably difficult time, to help ease the burden so the sisters can focus on what matters most — taking the time to grieve, to rest, and to heal.

Whether it’s covering rent, utilities, or the simple cost of a cup of coffee to help get through the blur of each day, every donation will help the girls get through this devastating loss.

We ask, from the bottom of our hearts, for anything you can contribute. No gesture is too small. Every cent will go towards relieving the financial pressures they face, so they can navigate this heartbreaking journey without the added worry of how to keep the lights on or keep a business afloat.

Caitlin, Ashleigh, Estella, we are here for you. We will hold you up as you grieve, and we will take care of your space — the one you've built for yourselves, the one that brings joy to so many of us. Rest in love, Jason Tyrell. We will look after your baby girls down here now, as they carry your spirit with every step of the way.
