Support for Caleb Pollard

Hi my name is Sara and I am asking you to consider coming alongside Caleb and his family by helping provide for some practical needs while Caleb is receiving medical treatment at the IWK in Halifax.

Here is a message from Caleb’s Mom, Hilary:

“Caleb is a music loving, vibrant ray of sunshine

His underlying medical complexities (Merosin-Deficient Muscular Dystrophy, history of lung collapse, inability to cough effectively among many other health issues) has greatly complicated his recovery from RSV.

Due to these serious health complications, Caleb was airlifted to the IWK on January 25 to receive medical care for one collapsed lung and a partially collapsed second lung. Caleb is having quite a difficult time coming off of BiPap (mechanical air pressure to help keep his lungs inflate). Until he is able to tolerate being able to breathe without assistance, we will be staying in Halifax until he can be transferred back to the QEH in Charlottetown”.

Caleb’s mom, Hilary is staying in Halifax for the foreseeable future and will not be able to work. Her husband Robbie is at home with their second son Ryker and will be travelling to Halifax once per week to be with his family.
