Support for Capt. Luker's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
My name is Stephanie Diaz. I work for the Aransas Pass Police Department and work with Captain Alvin Luker. Patrol Capt. Luker has 22+ years in Law Enforcement, 6 of which have been for Aransas Pass PD. He is also a veteran of the U. S. Marines.
Earlier today, May 22nd, Capt. Luker was riding his motorcycle and was rear-ended, causing him to be thrown from his bike. The impact was significant and has caused serious injuries. At this time, it is believed that his injuries are not life threatening, but could alter the course of his life.
Capt. Luker is having emergency surgery to install a stint in his left arm as we speak. Immediately following this surgery, he will be transferred to either Houston or San Antonio to hopefully have surgery on the nerves in his left arm, as he cannot currently feel his left arm from the elbow down. His humerus (upper left arm) is broken in two places as well.
Capt Luker has a collapsed lung and rib fractures. He also has a broken spine and lots of road rash. He was wearing a helmet which we believe saved his life.
I am seeking donations for the family to be able to help out with expenses associated with his out of area hospital stay. Any donations would be appreciated. And for those who cannot donate, prayers are greatly appreciated!
