After several months of pain and doctors visits it was recently determined that our nephew/cousin, Carl Lee, has become affected by cancer.
Per his wife's message: "Genitourinary: Renal Pelvis and Ureter Cancer - Stage IV. That’s what they’ve diagnosed Carl with. The oncologist told us today it is highly treatable. Four rounds of chemo, two weeks apart, starting Tuesday the 24th. Then hopefully it’s shrunk and his urologist will do surgery to remove the part of the kidney it is covering. This week he has to get a CT scan on his chest, a heart test, and a port put in."
Since this posting, it's been determined that a bone in his arm is also now affected. The doctors have said there is no cure, but they do say it's treatable.
To those that know him, Carl is a GIANT, not only because he is 6' 3" but because he has a giant heart and a huge desire to make the lives of others better. He has coached high school football his whole career and is currently the head football coach in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he resides with his wife, Stephanie and his 4-year old son, William Joseph. Carl's primary goal was not to see how many wins his team could get, but to help young men believe in themselves and their abilities instead of their limitations. His success with this philosophy has changed the lives of many young men and has taken a few struggling teams to the playoffs and beyond.
My family and I truly believe in Divine healing and miracles and have NO doubt God will perform one here as well. Whether this miracle be direct from God or through the use of doctors and medicine is unknown at the moment, but until now there have been many medial bills accruing and more will certainly come. At the request of our children, Carl's cousins, my wife and I are proud to start this fund raiser and it is our hope that all who know him and have enjoyed the positive impact he's had on their lives will show their appreciation in his time of need whether monitarily or through continued prayer.
God bless you and remember that God loves a cheerful giver. --The Joneses
