Support for Cath during her breast cancer journey

Hi, my name is Bri and along with my siblings Scotty, Anna, James, Erin and Matt we are fundraising to support our sister Catherine while she undergoes chemotherapy for breast cancer. In June, during her first mammogram Cath was told they had found some lumps in her left breast. A week later, these lumps were confirmed to be cancer requiring further treatment. In August Cath had a mastectomy to remove her left breast and some lymph nodes. Pathology results indicated chemotherapy was the next best step to reduce chances of the cancer reoccurring. In October Cath started her first chemo treatment which will continue through to February 2024. After this, additional surgery will be required to remove her right breast and reconstruct both. At this stage, she is still unsure whether radiation will be required.

For those of you who are not aware, Cath and her kids lost her husband and their father Roger to cancer in 2020. This diagnosis, although treatable is putting immense pressure on Cath to continue to provide for the family emotionally and financially. We hope to alleviate any unnecessary financial pressure by providing her with as much financial support as possible. Cath is the most resilient, fiercely positive and courageous person I know.
