II Corinthians 1:8-10 “We should like you, our brothers, to know something of what we went through in our trials. At that time, we were completely overwhelmed, the burden was more than we could bear, in fact we told ourselves that this was the end. Yet we believe now that we had this experience of coming to the end of ourselves that we might learn to trust, not in ourselves, but in God who can raise the dead…
Dear Family and Friends,
How are you?
I hope you and your families are doing well. We are praying for all of you and your family! Brenda and I wish you all God’s best!
It has been a very difficult year for us. We are right now desperately trying to change careers. We really need lots of prayer and some help. Please if you know of a church or another ministry or person who could help support us until August when I finish my Chaplain Training it would be a great answer to prayer for us.
It has been a long journey for us. The housing in Atlanta did not come through and the job situation fell through. The good news is that I was accepted into a Chaplain program in Dayton, Ohio. It starts June 4th. It does not pay during the 12 week training but after I am done I can apply for a residency which pays and has benefits. Please pray for Brenda as she had a teaching job interview and is waiting to hear back from them.. It will start in the middle of August if she gets it.The tough part is finding a place to live and having enough funds to get us to August .This is why we are asking friends, Churches and family to consider supporting us to reach this goal and take care of ourselves and honor God in our service of Him.
Brenda and I have been through quite a year of ups and downs, from health issues to job searching and a home. We have had many times in the last year that we thought we had positions only to have them fall through.”” I am at the point now where I am a broken man at the end of myself. I ask you as a friend in Christ to please consider helping us get to our goal of relocating to Dayton, Ohio for jobs. Praise the Lord, Brenda had a interview for a teaching job and I have already been accepted into a chaplain program position for training starting on June 4th in Dayton, OH. I cannot work during this time but after I complete the training, I am eligible for a residency which pays and has benefits. We feel much like missionaries striving to serve Christ and survive. We need to move there, get a place to live and jobs..
Our needs are:
1. Purchase an old used car so we both can get to work. We would look for one for about $1000.
2. Financially we need about $ $7500.00 - $10,000Cto pay for rent, food, gas, expenses, bills to get us to the end of August.
3. We have a GoFundMe set up for anyone feeling led to help us financially. It is included in this letter. Or if you know of anyone who could support us or a Church that could support us until then.
Please!
if there is any way you can help us, or you know of a”Church” or someone else who could help support us till the end of August it would be a life saving act for us. Words cannot describe our thanks and gratitude. I would love to talk to you on the phone if it would help to clarify our situation. Just let me know!, Our numbers are Brenda’s at [phone redacted] or Ranger at [phone redacted].
I leave you with II Corinthians 1:8-10 as this passage has ministered to us at this time in our life, where we feel much like Missionaries trying to raise support to do God's work among hurting people.
2 Corinthians 1:8-11
“We should like you, our brothers, to know something of what we went through in our trials. Yet we believe now that we had this experience of coming to the end of ourselves that we might learn to trust, not in ourselves, but in God who can raise the dead. It was God who preserved us from imminent death, and it is He who still preserves us. Further, we trust him to keep us safe in the future, and here you can join in and help by praying for us, so that the good that is done to us in answer to many prayers will mean eventually that many will thank God for our preservation."
Thank you again so much for your prayer and support. You will never know how much you have meant to us.
If you or a church or someone else are not comfortable using GoFundme, you can send your support c/o Stephanie Sanders, 87 Cedarwood Ln.. Gallipolis, Ohio 45631 in my name or Brenda's. Our daughter will make sure we receive it.
Thank you again, God's Blessings, Take care.
We are praying often for you and your family. All God’s best to you!
