Support for Chief Petty Officer Ricky Dee Alsept's Family

Please provide any assistance you can to help offset the costs associated with closing out my Father's estate.

It is with deep regret that I must announce the untimely passing of my father, Chief Petty Officer Ricky Dee Alsept (USN, retired), of Florissant, Missouri at 62 years of age. He was raised in Bethel, Ohio, and retired to Missouri some years ago.

He was struck and killed by a reckless driver while walking his little dog Chloe, who also passed, yesterday, October 12, 2024, around 0700 CDT. The Florissant, Missouri, police department is investigating to discover who it is that struck him and subsequently fled the scene. We trust that they will be able to locate the culprit and that the good people of Missouri will see to his or her punishment.

Rick was a life-long Navy man, and had settled into a quiet retirement. Anyone who spoke to him could tell you that he had two great loves in his life--the Navy and his children.

He is well remembered in his community. They knew him from his daily walks around the neighborhood where he had the good stewardship to even pick up the garbage he spotted along the way.

He is survived by his three children, Derick Alsept, Stephanie Alsept, and Jake Alsept, his sister, Margaret, and brothers Larry, Danny, Wayne. He is predeceased by brother Jimmy.
