Support for CJ Ward's Family

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, I’m requesting donations to help CJ Wards loved ones move forward in the wake of his tragic passing. He was just 36 years old. I have known him for 32 of those years. CJ was an adorable little boy when we became neighbors. He and his family quickly became our extended family and we shared many family events and milestones. He was a big brother to our children and played with them often as well as the other children in our close-knit neighborhood.

CJ's passing has been emotionally hard for many of us who knew him but especially his brother Nick. These two men lost their father to cancer during their young teen years.

Many of you may know that CJ was a dog lover. There was always a family dog in the home and later dogs he himself owned. During Covid, he adopted a sweet pit-bull puppy who was named CJ by the breeder. He was meant to be. CJ nicknamed him Junior. Junior is a bit of a handful, very strong in strength and will. Not unlike his master. Carol, CJ’s mother, wishes to keep Junior as her son would want. However, Junior will need specialized training for Carol to be able to manage him. Carol at 71 and living on her retirement could also use help in the ongoing expenses for care and veterinary services.

CJ and his fiancé, Ester, were preparing to move out of Carol’s home and build a life together. His death makes it very hard for Ester to live independently. Her job does not pay her enough for her to live on her own without CJ’s income. She has no family. Carol wants to help Ester get on her feet and would like to use some of the funds to help her get established and in a place of her own.

Please consider making a donation in CJ’s memory to help those he’s left behind as they struggle with his loss and help with funeral and on-going expenses. Some of the funds will go to therapy sessions for the family that isn’t covered Medicare to help them get through this devastating loss.
