Support for Clarisa Becker and Memorial for Gary Becker

Dear friends and family,

On behalf of Clarisa and Gary Becker, I have set up this GoFundMe page. Clarisa Becker needs our help and support after tragically losing her husband and best friend, Gary Becker on May 5th, 2024.

On May 4th, unexpectedly- Gary had fallen ill and was rushed to the ER to be treated. After a brief time, he was sent home to recover, but he rapidly declined and died the following day. For the past three and half years, Gary had been on dialysis and was eagerly awaiting a kidney transplant. He had been taking steps to prepare for the day he would be off the list, and able to receive a successful transplant. Gary had often talked about the places they would visit with Clarisa once he had his new kidney and was able to travel again.

Among many things, Gary was a thoughtful friend, a loving husband, a music enthusiast, and loved to sing. Above all, he loved Clarisa and their dogs, and extended family.

Shortly before he passed away, Clarisa and Gary had unfortunately lost both of their jobs. This has undoubtedly added to the stress and anxiety for Clarisa since Gary's passing. All donations from this GoFundMe will go directly to Clarisa to help cover Gary's outstanding medical bills, (including the visit from the ER), bills associated with funeral costs, and will help Clarisa get back on her feet. Most of all, this will allow her the space to grieve the loss of her love without worrying about losing her home, or being able to cover upcoming bills.

Gary's absence has left a hole in our hearts, and we appreciate your support and generosity for Clarisa at this difficult time
