Support for Collin Hessney

Hi, my name is Nikkie Kent and I am asking for your support for my brother, Collin Hessney. Collin is facing a difficult road ahead after recently being diagnosed with Grade 2 Brain Cancer.

After years of practicing law in NYC and knowing something was not right with his health, Collin advocated relentlessly through multiple health systems to receive care. Many tests and MRIs later, neurologists found a tumor in a nearly impossible and inoperable location in his temporal lobe. As the tumor created such a major impact on his daily life, Collin continued to advocate for years for its removal, even due to the high risk that he could be left physically impaired.

In January of 2023, he underwent an awake craniotomy at NYU Langone and the neurosurgeon believed he successfully removed the tumor. Weeks later, we were devastated to learn that the tumor was a Grade 2 astrocytoma, cancerous and not fully removed. Collin will begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment starting this April at NYU Langone, it will be a long 12 months ahead.

As you can imagine, this sudden diagnosis is taking an unbelievable emotional and financial toll on Collin and his family of caregivers. Collin is doing his part to fight this disease, and we are asking for your help in alleviating some of the financial burdens that come with fighting this cancer.
