Support for Corey and Alicia Welsh

If you are receiving this link, you have likely had the pleasure of knowing the Welsh family directly or indirectly. Knowing Corey and Alicia, you can understand our hesitancy of creating a GoFundMe page. They are the last people to ask for help and the first people to offer a helping hand. We understand that a GoFundMe page is the best way to reach a mass number of friends and family, but we also want to be considerate of their privacy during this difficult time. For this reason, we ask that you share the link privately via direct message with as many people as you’d like, rather than posting/sharing publicly on Facebook pages, etc.

This GoFundMe is in support of Corey and Alicia Welsh, and their two baby girls, Alice and Pia. For those of you fortunate enough to know Corey Welsh, you know he is, among so many other things, an incredible friend, son, and a loving husband and father.

In September of this year, Corey received a diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Corey has been assigned a care team who is taking his case very seriously and are committed to providing him with immediate and aggressive treatment. Corey has already completed his first round of chemotherapy and is currently awaiting colon surgery, scheduled for mid-November. Corey is currently on two liver transplant waitlists, one in Halifax, the other in Toronto.

If you can assist financially, your donation will go directly to the Welsh family. All donations will be used to cover Corey’s medical and travel expenses.

On behalf of Alicia and Corey, the outpouring of love and support for this family so far has been incredible. This support will continue to be so important as Corey and his family navigate the long and intensive treatment ahead of him.
