The unthinkable has happened to our family. Last night, Thursday 8/15 at 10:15pm, there was car accident on Route 30 that took our precious Courtney away from us. We are crushed and can’t think straight. We just celebrated her HS graduation. Courtney was going to start college on Monday. An adored only child and grandchild. We are the family of Courtney Lee Miller a beautiful soul who was taken to early just 18 and ready to begin her life. Tragically on Thursday August 15th at around 10p.m. Our beautiful Courtney was in a car crash in which she lost her life. Words cannot describe the amount of love and pain we feel right now. We can’t understand why. We cannot put words to the pain. Courtney was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, niece, coworker, friend and so much more. Her smile would light up a room. She was and always will hold a special place in all of the hearts of the lives of the people whose lives she touched.
From Mom:
Mom loves you. I wish I could hold you in my arms. I hope you knew how much you meant to me, my world, my best friend, my everything. You had your whole life planned out; you were going to conquer the world. I’m so lost and I hope I have the strength to get through this for you! Fly high baby girl, Momma loves you big.
From Gam:
To my only grandchild; the world to me and her papa who had just left us only a short time ago - spread those wings and fly like the angel you are and always have been; fly with our other angels - Papa and Aunt Jess. You brighten my life – My Cupcake. I love you to the moon and back. Love, Gam.
From Uncle Jack:
You are the best niece an uncle could ever ask for. You brought the good out in all of us and had a bright future ahead of you. You were the future of our family; you were the one to actually make it. You’re everything to me, my niece, my little sister, my daughter I never had. Me and you had a bond like no other because we understood each other to the core. My mini me with the one big ear. My brat. This world is going to be darker and colder without you in it, BooBoo. Who else am I gonna rap drill and trap music with now that my buddy is gone? This world didn’t deserve you, but I guess God had bigger plans for you. I just know Jessica and Dad are up there letting you know we’re okay, and with them, I know you’re okay as well. Rest in peace, Courtney Lee Miller. Spread your wings and watch over your Mother and Gam because they need you. Uncle Jack will be okay.
From (Ricky):
Courtney the most loving, smart, passionate, and genuine girl I have ever met and loved she meant the world to me and everyone in her family. She had the brightest smile and the biggest blue eyes. Her laugh was intoxicating. The memories we were also lucky to have shared with her, will forever be unforgettable. She will be dearly missed, but certainly never forgotten. We all love you, Courtney Lee.
From Courtneys father,
Daniel Van Dyke
Courtney was my true soulmate, we shared a connection that was unbelievable. I am so proud of how brave and strong she was. Her spirit called me to the crash site. As I drove up to the scene, without any knowledge…I just knew my daughter’s spirit was waiting to say goodbye. May god and my angels protect you till we are together again. I will tread through the darkness relentlessly in remembrance of you, until I meet you in the light.
From Rita
My sweet Courtney, I love you always and forever. You brought so much joy into my life and put smile on my face. I love you like my own daughter and I am grateful for every moment spent together. I will cherish all of our memories forever..
I know you will always be watching over us and you will always be in our hearts
..till we meet again …
