Military Family Loses Everything in Devastating House Fire

Recently, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy—a house fire that took everything we owned. In just a matter of hours, the place we called home, filled with memories, laughter, and love, was reduced to ashes. While we are beyond grateful that everyone made it out safely, we are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing.

This tragedy came just as our family was settling into a new chapter. After returning to the U.S. from South Korea, we had only been in our home briefly. Just weeks ago, we finally received all of our belongings from overseas—only to lose everything in the fire. Now, we are left to replace not only essentials but also the irreplaceable comforts that made our house a home.

As we navigate the complexities of insurance claims, keep life steady for our children, and balance the demands of military life, we are also trying to find space to process and support one another emotionally. The weight of rebuilding—securing housing, replacing necessities, and creating a sense of normalcy—feels immense, but we know we are not alone.

How Your Support Will Help:

We are setting a fundraising goal of $50,000 to help cover the immediate and long-term costs of rebuilding. This will go toward:

✅ Temporary Housing (Airbnb, Hotel, or Short-Term Rental) – $6,000-$8,000 (for one month)
✅ Clothing & Shoes for the Entire Family – $3,000 (adults and children, including seasonal wear)
✅ Food & Groceries – $2,000 (for the next few months while stabilizing)
✅ Furniture & Household Essentials – $7,000 (beds, tables, chairs, storage, etc.)
✅ Bedding & Towels – $1,500 (mattresses, sheets, pillows, blankets, etc.)
✅ School Supplies & Backpacks for the Kids – $1,000 (notebooks, laptops, school fees, etc.)

✅ Security Deposit & First Month’s Rent – $10,000 (for permanent housing)
