Support for Daisy Runyan's SCID Journey
Donation protected
9-month-old Daisy was recently diagnosed with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID). It is an extremely rare and serious disorder in which the immune system is compromised. Daisy will be quarantined from the outside world for a long time, only to see her grandparents and family from a Facetime call on a cellphone or laptop.
Daisy is currently at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, waiting for a bone marrow transplant, which will take several months to complete. Afterward, Daisy will also have several months of isolation to ensure her immune system will function properly.
Daisy and her parents, Melissa and Dustin Runyan, are from Marshfield, Missouri, which is 3 hours away. Melissa has taken a leave from work to stay with Dasiy. Dustin has been traveling back and forth to keep working so they don’t lose all of their income.
Please help us support Melissa and Dustin while they look over Daisy. She has a long journey ahead of her. Any amount would help cover lost income, Travel, medical expenses, and other unforeseen events that could arise during her journey.
Daisy and her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks.
