Support for Dale and Joan Dyck

On March 8th my mom, Joan, while at work received the call that I know every spouse dreads. She needed to get to emerge as soon as possible as her husband, Dale, had suffered a life altering medical emergency. That morning my dad had a hemorrhagic stroke, caused by a bleed in his brain. From what we have been told the bleed in not operable at this time. At this point the future is very unknown what it will look like for him and also my mom. Doctors and nurses are currently trying to stabilize him before any medical plan can be determined as to how his future may look. Dale is presenting left side paralysis and at this point we are unsure what other damage has been caused. We are unsure the level of care he will need in his future but likely he will need a wheelchair to

mobilize.

Anyone who knows my parents know that they never ask for help. My hopes in creating this fundraiser is to help raise money for my mom to be able to take the time off work that she needs to be by his side at this very fragile time. Also to help cover the costs of any medical bills and equipment that Dale will need in the future and support to help mom move to a more accessible home.
