Dear All - My name is Robbie Gosling and I've set up this GoFundMe for my premature twin nephews, Dalen & Trey Davis, to help support all of their ongoing medical expenses.

Miracle #1: These boys survived a very high-risk pregnancy due to issues that arose during their growth and development. They were born extremely premature at just 27 weeks after an emergency C-section, with Dalen weighing 1 lb 3 oz and Trey weighing 1 lb 15 oz. They have been our miracle warriors from day one.

Miracle #2: After more than three and a half months they were finally able to leave the NICU, but both were still on oxygen and NG tubes for feeding.

Although their parents Matt & Meredith were extremely excited to have them coming home, they faced the daunting task of literally having to become their own NICU nurses 24/7, juggling technology issues (multiple monitors/alarms regularly going off at once), constant NG feedings every 3 hours, unending diaper changes and utensil sterilizations, as well as ongoing health issues due to their premature birth that have complicated the transition home. This resulted in a constant workload that left absolutely no time for any recovery period for these boys' parents. After extreme exhaustion set in, along with a couple of trips to the ER, Matt and Mer realized that they need to hire a significant amount of outside nursing assistance. As can be expected, the cost to bring in this kind of help (especially for twins) was/is extremely expensive.

Fast forward to now in early March, almost 4 months since coming home from the NICU. Delivery drivers continue to drop off oxygen tanks and special formula on a weekly basis. The boys are steadily improving but both are still on oxygen for part of the day and fully at night. Matt and Mer have also seen the initial round of hospital and doctor bills which are nearing $3 million and continuing to increase. Thankfully good insurance has helped cover much of those expenses but the “out of pocket” costs have already exceeded $20,000. With the ongoing doctor and specialist appointments which will continue through this year and into 2024, those expenses will easily exceed over $30,000.

Needless to say, Matt and Meredith are extremely thankful for all the thoughts and prayers of many family and friends who have helped along the way. Also, Matt and Meredith would be extremely grateful if anyone feels led to contribute to help defray some of the additional out of pocket expenses which have added a financial strain onto an already serious and stressful medical situation.
