Support for Danny Casey’s Memorial and Funeral
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out during this incredibly difficult time as we mourn the loss of our beloved father, husband, and friend, Danny Casey. He has passed this morning, August 26, 2024. After a long and courageous battle in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) following an extensive surgery, my father passed away, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled.
My step-mom, Tina, has been by his side every step of the way, sacrificing work to spend every possible moment with him during his final days. Her dedication and love knew no bounds, but this has left our family in a precarious financial situation. As for me, his daughter, I had just moved back home from Kansas to West Virginia the day before his surgery, hoping to support him through his recovery. However, in the midst of this heartbreaking situation, I have been unable to find a job during this challenging time.
Our family wants nothing more than to honor my father’s life and celebrate the incredible person he was in the best way possible. We want to give him the memorial he deserves, to say our last goodbyes, and to lay him to rest with the love and respect that he showed to everyone who knew him. In addition to the funeral expenses, we are also seeking to have an autopsy performed, which alone will cost $1,500. This is an important step for our family to understand the full circumstances of his passing. As well as helping prove his black lung from working in the coal mines.
He leaves behind daughters, sons, and grandchildren who are all struggling with this loss. We especially ask for prayers for my dad’s granddaughter, Bella, whom he raised as his own daughter. To her, he was not just a grandfather but her father. She, along with all of us, needs strength and comfort during this time.
We are humbly asking for your support to help cover the costs of his memorial and funeral services. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated by our family. Your kindness during this time of sorrow will help us to focus on celebrating his life and remembering the joy and love he brought into ours. If you are unable to donate, we would be so grateful if you could share this with others who may be able to support us. Your prayers for Jesus to comfort us throughout this long road ahead would also mean the world to us.
Any excess funds raised will be donated to my step-mother, Tina, who has been a mother to me since I was a small little girl, to help her with essential expenses like bills, groceries, and gas. We are in a very bad financial situation, and your support during this time will mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, thoughts, and prayers. Your support means everything to us as we navigate this painful chapter of our lives. With heartfelt gratitude, Deonna and family
