Support for Dawn and the girls

From Dawn: “To our friends and family that may not be aware, it is with immense sadness and grief to share that my husband, Kris took his own life on Wednesday 11/17.  It was and still remains a complete shock to all of us. Our entire family is beyond devastated and trying to navigate the days ahead. We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of support and love we’ve received thus far and continue to receive.  

After 14 years of marriage and close to 20  years together, I never thought I’d have to imagine a life without him by my side. Every day since has been a rollercoaster of emotions and when the numbness eventually wears off and the fog lifts, I pray that I will continue to find the strength that I’ll need to pour into my sweet girls to help them cope without their daddy. They adored him and he them. 

For anyone who is struggling, please don’t struggle in silence and know it’s ok to reach out for help.  There are so many unanswered questions and an aftermath of pain that remains after suicide.  Knowing he is at peace now from his own internal struggles is the only sliver of comfort I can take from this but that doesn’t make it any easier for the those that loved him and especially his little girls that will now miss growing up with their father who loved them more than anything in this world.  

Please continue to pray for me, my girls and our family so we can find the strength and peace to find our path forward with this huge hole that now remains in our hearts. ”
