Support for Denis' Honorable Farewell Fund

Hello, my name is Penny Jackson and I don't have the money to pay for my husband Denis Houle cremation. He passed away on Tuesday October 1st 2024 at 2:32 pm. The nurse at Treasure Coast Hospice said she was calling his death at @2:45pm. I watched him take his last breath. Denis has suffered from 5 Melanoma tumors in his Brain since January 2020. His oncologist, Dr Frankel at the West Palm Beach VA [WPBVA] Hospital declared him cancer free 1 and 1/2 years ago. He went through brain surgery for 1 tumor and had cyber knife for the remaining 4 tumors. Then he had Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy for a year at the VA in WPB FL. Recently the doctors found lesions deep in his right auditory canal, which turned out to be melanoma that metastasized from his ear to his brain. He was not eligible for brain cancer surgery or any radiology treatments. He had no chance of survival because the melanoma was throughout his entire brain and also in the cranial and spinal fluid. I was with him every day out of six days in hospice except one. That evening, I fell and fractured my pelvic bone and I've been in the hospital since the day Denis passed away. Now, since I live alone, I have to go to Encompass Health Rehab Hospital for physical therapy treatments. I wanted to pay for his cremation with his credit cards, but the Cremation place won't take them because he is deceased. I've tried everything I can think of to transfer funds to my credit cards or checking account with no luck. I realize money is tight for most people, including myself. I really need help. Denis is an Honorably Discharged Veteran and qualifies for burial at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Maybe his buddies from the US Army or his friends from the HVAC industry can help. Denis and I spent 28-1/2 years together and we truly loved each other. I never thought I would see the day when I humbly have to ask for help this way. I am blessed and grateful.
